Most of the calcium in the body can be found in bones. It is what gives your bones potency and efficacy and structure. A miniscule quantity of calcium is dissolved within the blood and plays a huge role in the healthy functioning from the heart, muscles, blood and nerves.

If you don't take in enough calcium, the body will pull calcium in the bones and pass it on to the bloodstream. And if this goes on for quite sometime, your bones will end up weak and you may develop osteoporosis.
